The fit-out for Coastal Orthopaedics emphasises the importance of dynamic and innovative medical design to create a consultancy that provides a point of difference from traditional medical environments, whilst still respecting the location of Bethesda Hospital.
The aesthetic goals of the project were to create a space that emits a hospitable atmosphere, with a sophisticated sense of professionalism, elegance and opulence with a user-focused perspective. A crucial element of the brief was to maximise the view of the Swan River; this key element in the brief required the design to capitalise on the view for everyone throughout the clinic, whilst maintaining the focus of functionality and workflow.
This design concept successfully allows the clinicians to have further access to more consult and operational space, different environments and the increased connection to their PA. This ultimately offers an activity-based healthcare environment based on supporting both the clinicians and the patients through the maximisation of efficiency, workflow and improved service delivery.
